Favorite Gear Brand Poll

Not sure how a poll works on an iPhone but here goes. Hopefully a mod can fix it for me if it doesn't work.

What's your favorite brand of gear? I'd like to hear about some of the lesser known brands and why you feel they are better than the major name brands. I've been corrupted by the media so all I ever seem to buy is Alpinestars. Can't put all the brands so here are the ones I can remember.

1 Icon
2 Cortech
3 Joe Rocket
4 Alpinestars
5 Scorpion
6 Sidi
7 Motogp
8 Other

Ride Smart Taichi. Love the leather quality and construction. Very comfortable.

I can't really say that it's better than this or that. My only observation is that the Taichi gear I've purchased has been far more comfortable out of the box than any of the gear I've tried on locally. A*, JR, FieldSheer and so on, but that could just be me.

I was a douchy alpinestars guy at first. Then I realized that their gear is cut for stick-legged italian manboys. I love my fieldsheer suit because it actually fits my thunderthighs. I also used to have alpinestars boots, but they squeaked like nobody's business (a problem I'd eventually find out was universal with a-stars boots) and didn't stretch width-wise in the toe box so the were also uncomfortable. I now were Sidi boots.

So basically I went from a one-brand guy to a "get what fits" guy. Now my as all over the map.....and I don't care.....cuz its comfortable.

i really like my firstgear jacket. it really beats the out of my a#*'s jacket

i also like icon lately. the variant (dirt inspired street helmet) looks really great, and their blog is almost always a good read

i think my hands work best in a* gloves. i have 5 brand gloves right now, and they are good but not great

i tried that for a short while, but other companies have good products too, and sometimes you find a deal you cant turn down
