Clean/Dirty?

Does your scoot:

A - Look very used, you ride it WAY more then clean it but it isn't dangerously nasty.

B - Look brand new. You wipe it down after every ride. Wash it once a week.
individually clean between every link on the chain.

C - Somewhere in between.

I'm A. I ride it. Maintain it. When the bugs get too thick and it hasn't rained in a while I wash it. Maybe once every couple month. I wear road grime as
a badge.

I want it to be "B" but don't have the time to clean it like that. I guess I would be "C". Also maybe a good poll question?

I keep mine pretty clean. Even when I had time to ride a lot, or even when I commuted daily on my bike it was always clean. I guess I just like to have a clean bike.

Except for my most recent purchase, I usually clean my bikes once a week and keep them pristine. Wax once a month, use WD40 to get all engine and chain grime off once a week as well. I ride them everyday but I like to have them clean. My new supermoto doesn't get washed that much though. It is a messy bike. Little oil seepage here and there and chain wax flings everywhere, so I really don't care to keep it clean.

Cleaner than Clean,

I inspect and clean my bike almost every morning,
its like a pre-ride ritual, I pray for safety while inspecting the tires and wipe down the plastics. I check the chain, brakes, wheels, oil level......

then I feel safest, when I take it out to fly...

My beastie gets washed sometimes...Not often though - im too much of a perfectionist to try to keep black clean.

A - has never been washed. Kinda lost interest in keeping her clean after rashing up the plastics. Maybe if I ever replace them it will get cleaned a little more.

What made me wonder was the 919 in the F/S section.

I can't fathom how you can keep a scooter THAT clean....

(of corse I already have 7K miles on my new to me scooter and have only
had it 6 months or so....)

I wash my bike on average every other ride/day and do a thorough cleaning with WD40 whenever I clean the chain. Dirty wheels are my pet peeve! I don't see why people don't clean them more often...it only takes me 10-15 minutes to do a full wash whereas my car takes 45-60 minutes, and that's a "maintenance" wash.
