sad to say but its true our sport is part of darwins theory...especially sad when its our freinds.

just go to walmart, buy him some board shorts, sunglasses, and flip flops. tell him here is your gear, pat him on the back, and tell him youll miss him.

on the plus side...somone else here going to be really happy to get a deal on a nice liter bike with heavy cosmetic damage, and moderate body damage or whatever...its real easy to negotiate price with people who have tubes coming out of their nose.

This is what you call stubborn! Don't listen for nothing and until something happen, then they realize. Best advise is all you can give him. Whether he want to take it or not, that's his choice. Good luck.

Well.........I don't know this guy but I'm a firm believer in buying what you want, nothing wrong with a liter bike as a first bike for some people.
There's some out there that started small...........worked up to a liter bike.....and SHOULD have stayed with a moped.
I've said this before but.........first bike I was on in more than 15 years was my Busa.
First bike I ever rode.............was a 750.

Well...I think it depends on the person. I started on a 1k a year ago n I've been fine (Thanks be to ). I think maturity plays a major part. The problem is if you've got a guy that has never ridden before and on his first few weeks...he's trying to take 60mph curves goin 120. I'd say just be sure he goes at his own pace. Don't try to squeeze 2 yrs of experience into your first few months of ridin'. Be patient...if the more experienced guys ride to fast...you'll catch um down the rode. But I don't think everyone should start small.
