The funny thing is that he thinks he has something to prove... I could care less how quick/slow he is.

I just stated that I think it's hard to believe he's 'backing it in' on the street with less than 5k miles under his belt. I've got about 40% of that mileage on the track alone and I'm not close to backing it in. Infact, there are only a few CMRA experts who can successfully back it in...

But to each their own... if he wants to get in A group at TWS (Texas World Speedway) or B group at MSR we might see each other. I wCon't race him... but will ride my normal 80%.

Whats "backing it in"... I don't understand this term... Group A and TWS (Texas World Speedway) is crazy fast!!!!! They scare me.... Whats your average time on a lap?? Or has anyone timed you? Just curious.

ive seen em both ride, both fast schecter TWS (Texas World Speedway) is the kinda track u cant get fast at until hours upon hours of running it and discorvering better lines and stuff, so you better start doin some homework.

i didnt really get the chance to ride with steve enough last trackday =/ but he can def. rep an unpopular trackbike like the f4i

See... the difference between you and me is that I could care less about your skills or lack there of.

If you can hang with me that's great for you... again, I don't care.

But there is no way that I'm going to believe that you're backing it in... locking your brake up while the bike is vertical is NOT backing it in.

If you're at 80% and I'm at 80% and were going the same pace then that's fantastic for you... especially since you're much less experienced than I am.

Crystal... backing it is in a technique used to slide the rear tire around when going into a corner. This is what it looks like..

nice pic..

but no.. i dont lock the rear brake up.. and no.. not vertical...

during the beginning of the turn.. i lean into it.. drop gears appropriatly.. and FEATHER the REAR BRAKE.. to contrll the spin.. u know how normally it does that fishtail bullshit.. well if u play with the rear brake.. it slides... it took a while for me to figure it out.. i went out started just sliding vertical..
then learned about the rear brake... and by all means u dooo not wanna lock that hoe up.. ull start hoppin

I was surprised at how quick you were man... I couldn't get the feel of MSRH at all. My braking markers were off ALL day. I think the track can be alot of fun but I need more time there. I LOVE Cresson... both parts. TWS (Texas World Speedway) is fun... but it get's boring after a few trackdays. It's basically just 14 turns connected with 12 straights.

It's all I've ever done... my F4i is street and track.

Just don't ride like a dumbass and you'll be fine. The instant you start feeling like Rossi, go to the pits and take a break. That's when accidents happen...
