I'm racing the last three races of the season and i'll be if i pulled something in my back. can anyone recommend anything. I've been popping four aleve and it doesn't work.

I've been training for this: running 2 miles a day lifting high reps and 4 sets each exercise. suddenly ony our way to sea world on sat. my lower back starting killing me out of no where. feels like i pulled somoething but ithought had i did it in the gym it would have started hurting then not two days later. If it's hurting like this i can't race. any recommendations??? I've taken a week off work with no pay for this. help

Try a heating pad.

Just guessing at this, but you might need to do more stretching. Layoff the heavy weights until it gets better too.

Go see Dr. John Banda over at Southside Chiroractic(I think that's it) off Fuqua by Almeda Mall. He's been keeping me straight for years and knows the rigors of racing and riding. Let me know if you can't find the number. Not your usual Chiro, usually two trips and I'm back in shape.

maybe you have a pinched nerve. is it a sharp pain when you move a certain way or does it just hurt when moving?

This might sound odd but I've done stuff to my back before that took a couple of days before it hurt.

Last time it happened after deadlifting, I work out on my porch and when I was coming up with the weight I hit a flower pot with the bar on the right hand side, purely as a reflex I turned slightly to see what I had done.. I felt something wierd so I dropped the weight.. it didn't hurt right then, it just kinda spazzed for a second, but the next day I was in a lot of pain.

As far as what to do, since time is tight I'd agree with everyone about seeing a chiro, until you can get an appt though I got some frogs you could lick if you want, the effects only last for a couple hours but you'll forget all about your back pains.

You need anything? I mean, if you can't get out of the house to take care of stuff I drive through humble on my way to/from work and could help out if you need it.
