When I was in there the other day, it came up that they were no longer going to be a sponsor.

That's probably why they quit sponsoring the site. Giving everyone a discount and attracting customers that only shop the clearance rack and ask for discounts will not keep you in business. This is not an attack on you or anyone else. I'm just saying... I used to have a retail business and it gets very tiresome when everyone that walks in the store wants a "deal" or a "hook-up". That why I "was" in retail business - I shut it down after 9 years of just being tired of making everyone else's pocketbook happy.

You don't go into Kroger and ask for a discount or a deal. You don't go to a restaurant and try to negotiate a meal. You either pay what they are asking or go somewhere else. Motorcycle riders on the other hand want to go into every shop and ask for a discount - or try to negotiate a price based on what they saw at another shop or the internet...

end of rant - please don't flame me

^ This is why when I do photography for my family and friends I tell them dont expect to get these back quick and dont bug me about them. Paying customers take precedence. I have done photos for freinds and family, then they want them back in a few days, and when they get them the dont even say thanks or give me an opinion on if they like them. I understand completly, I was just joking about the discount thing. But it is good to offer a set break for certain promotions, because it brings business you may not have gotten otherwise. Especially when alot of things can be purchased online now.

I hit the clearance rack and buy stuff I'm not usually in the market for at the time. I buy other stuff there, but I usually hit that rack first to see if there is anything I want.

As far as food at the grocery vs gear, I have to have food, I don't really have to have gear...it's a luxury item. And yes I'm going to shop for a good deal.

Yeah, it's good to do a loss leader sometimes...as long as they buy something else. And I hear you on the family deals....I think that happens to everyone...

as far as krogers go, they advertise discounts for shopper's that have the kroger plus cards. kinda the same concept actually.

if i were a sponsor on here i would want my customers to at least see what i can do for them pricewise. all they have to do is say no. i know one particular sponsor that private messaged me when i bought some sidi boots & said they wouldve matched the price i got them for online. i would rather buy from a local shop anyway.

Nailed it right on the head. Most are the people that abou tprices and wanting discounts then turn around and go blow 100 bucks on booze at the bar with out hesitation.

I will still flame you to keep in the spirit of Motohouston.
