That thing is toast.
Definitely fibers and steels, I'd do springs too.
The pic isn't great, but if that's actually a crack on the inner hub and not a casting flaw I'd replace it too.
What's the pressure plat look like?
Make sure to drain and flush the oil and change the filter a couple of times to get all of the clutch debris out of the motor.

Pretty much what I was expecting, the pressure plate looks great. The clutch boss is expensive, any issues with using one from a junk yard as long as I get a new nut and lock washer?

Also any ideas on why this thing went south so quick? I am not the original owner, but it only has ~18,000 miles on it. The bike is a 98.

Thanks for you help Patrick, I will be seeing you soon to get a few things.

No problem with a used unit, just make sure the outer splines aren't badly grooved.

As far as why it went? It was either improperly adjusted at some point with no freeplay or it's been beat on.

yea what he said, new plates and new basket(boss) if you can fine one at a boneyard make sure its not abused, change your oil and filter at short intervals, remember the clutch is a fragile thing

I found the inner and outer hub with springs, steels fibers etc on ebay for cheap so far. Ends in less than 24 and had no bids on it. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I think I will feel better if I replace both hubs.

I am not entirely sure what caused it, I am thinking a mix of drag racing with a bad adjustment. Just my guess though.

That will do it. I see you have experience with slippin the clutch. I have a real hard time doing that.

The damage to the clutch is not from me, it is from the previous owner. I have put all of 150 miles on the bike since I got it. I am not a big drag racer or clutch slipper. I may end up there, who knows.
