Buying a mini?

Ok so I am going to buy a mini. It will probably be a Honda CRF 50. When looking at potential minis to buy what should I be looking for? What are some common issues that can result in expensive repairs or indicate poor maintenance/use? Is there any reason to buy something behinds a Honda CRF 50? When purchasing a relatively stock mini how much money can I expect to pay for a little hooligan bike

Honda 50 is the way to go. They have been around since the late 1960s and are bulletproof with very little maintenance. They are choice for adult riders becuase they have air cooled 4 stroke 3 speed engines. I have a 1991 honda z50 that fires up on the first kick with no choke even in the middle of winter. My 50 i regularly ride is an '02 xr50 and trust me when i say i've put that bike through and back over the past 4-5 years i've had it. it's even been on fire at one point in time (funny story).

Here's a prime example of honda 50 reliability. My old neighbor had a '92 z50 for 12 years. He never cleaned the air filter, never changed the oil, never cleaned the bike. He only put more gas in it. He crashed it at least once every time he rode it and it always started up on the first kick everytime.

Can't go wrong with the honda.

I am just looking at options, there's a guy that has a honda 50, with 2 engines, one is an honda 50 w/ 88cc BBR kit for stunting, and a 125 GPX for racing.

Big bore kits on 50s are alot of fun, but not necessary. The fun factor will ALWAYS be there stock engine or not.

Yes they do. About half of the people that own 50s don't have or bother to get a title though. Even if he doesn't have a title for that bike, i'd still it up for that price and condition.
