Hey, I need gear and some security devices. I found some '06 in MO but that is a 10 hour drive from houston. I've sat on the gixxer, 600 RR, and R6. The new R6 is way too tall and is off my list. The gixxer feels really good but the problems that I've heard about tend to shy me away. I've done some lurking and posting on the CBR forums and don't see any problems with the 600 RRs. A 600 is all I need and won't need anything bigger.

I walked into stubbs, saw him take out the lube, was told that out the door was $10K and thanked him for his time and walked out. Didn't feel like getting screwed over. Thanks for everyone's advice.

10K for a 600? wow. **** that . you can get a new 1000rr at honda of houston for $9,999. but why are you looking for a new one? i rather save thousand of dollars and get a 03+. with those money saved, you can buy parts for it and make it look really nice. i love my 600rr. it handle very well. pm and ill show u where u can get a great deal.

Nah,

A 1000RR is more than I need. I don't want to buy used b/c you never know problems might arise from buying used. Plus, some of the used bikes are still pretty pricey depending on where you go. I definately check out Wild West honda and Freedom Motorsports. I wanted to through out a line and see if anyone else wants to buy as a group to see if we could get a better deal.

Somehow, I doubt you're gonna find a group of people who want to go in and put cash down in full to buy a brand new bike...and even if you did, the dealership probably wouldn't give you that great of a 'broup buy' deal, if they gave you a better deal at all...

from what i learned from new riders is. in my personal opinion a newbie rider should purchase a used bike first. learn on it and make all your mistakes witha used one. seeing that you have cash you will pay half the price and you will save on liability insurance. when you get tired of that bike sell it maybe even make a profit off of it then go get you a brand new onewith the money you save you can buy all the ride gear you need.
