My friend passed away

Hey guys.. last night at around 5 or 6pm my friend in austin was leaving work and heading home. He came around a turn on 1431 (i think thats the name) ad there was a car that stopped quickly and my friend was not able to stop in time and lowsided onto oncoming traffic. He was struck by a Ford f350 dually and was killed instantly. I know this is motoHouston but when a fellow rider goes down it sucks. His name is Jason Khosravani age 20, lived in Lake Jackson which is about an hour from Houston. I will be posting a date here in a couple of weeks and we are going to have a ride from houston up to austin. anyone here is welcome to tag a long and this ride is for jason and anyone who has a friend or family member who died in a motorcycle accident. we will pick out a spot to have lunch and show some respect. maybe ride down to lake travis and then head out and come back towards houston.

Motorcyclist dies after hitting pickup

Lake Jackson man was wearing helmet, police sayBy Joshunda Sanders

AMERICAN-STATESMAN STAFF

Friday, August 04, 2006

A 20-year-old man died Thursday afternoon when his motorcycle struck a pickup truck in Cedar Park, police said.

Jason Khosravani of Lake Jackson was traveling eastbound on RM 1431 at a high rate of speed on his 2001 Aprilia motorcycle when he struck a 2004 Ford pickup that was legally stopped in the inside lane of the roadway waiting to turn left, officials said.

Because Khosravani was going fast, police said, he couldn't stop in time to avoid skidding into oncoming traffic. Khosravani was wearing a helmet but died at the scene. The pickup driver was not injured, police said. The accident is under investigation.

Yeah i've read a few articles and some said high rate of speed but you have to undersand that Jason traveled on the road every day to work for the past 2 years..... when we went out riding he would be the one telling us to slow down there because of cops and stuff. so i strongly doubt he was hauling around that turn. on top of that this was his big brother's bike so he respects it in everyway. owell...
