That red Light camera thing was a scam from day one. I don't think I EVER payed one. If you want me to pay a fine, you have to physically CATCH ME in the wrong. Do your job law enforcement, don't out because it's just easier..

My problem with them has always been very simple: It places the accused in a position of proving his innocence. Worse, it allows the state to force you to testify against even your spouse to prove your innocence.

Hate to break the news, but just because the resolution passed does NOT mean the cameras are going away.

Houston City Council can decide to go against the will of the people and leave the cameras up.

The organization against the red light cameras is already gearing up for a legal fight just in case City Council does that, but this may be far from over. Don't celebrate too much yet.

Sure - they CAN - but if they're interested in continuing to keep their jobs, they wont.
