There needs to be another option. I would vote for investigated if it were an option.

Or, more likely, the policy of his department doesn't allow him to. You think a prosecutor would like for him to post all his ammo that he plans to use in trial on a public board? I think his ego got the best of him when he joined, he made a couple posts, then realized the mistake he made.

PS: I voted no, investigated and reprimanded. But after 32 years on the job (I think) I hardly see this being an offense worthy of termination, unless there is more to the story.

He needs to be anally raped by a rabid gorilla. Can this be an option?

I dont know, he continuously abuses his power and over hard working citizens time after time... I think that constitutes pretty good excuse to fire the .

Even so, I would think harassment would be grounds for termination assuming there really is no law on "noisy" exhaust

Courts determined he was within his legal boundaries for issuing the noise citations. Kinda hard to fire a guy for something you told him he can do, eh?

Personally I dont want the guy fired either. He obviously believes what he is doing is right.

However, perhaps in recognition of his long years of service, the city should recognize his dedication and not have him out on the streets running traffic ...let the rookies handle that....

Why give the guy a break just because he's been raping people for 32 years? A job is a job and if you aren't doing it right then you should be fired.... I dare any of you to show up to work flat drunk or stoned out of your ming and then argue that you've been there for "x" amount of years and shouldn't be fired

Getting someone fired from a government job near requires an act of the legislature.

they just told him he could continue doing as he pleased without clarifying the law for those he was harassing. Hence the situation honorsdaddy is in right now.

I still don't understand what you are getting at? He took them to court specifically over the noise violations he was writing and they declared it was constitutional. Why must they now rewrite the law for him?
