It is good to see there are still some people left who take responsibility - good and bad - for their actions.

I can honestly say I've gotten tickets like that before ...74 in a 55 when both the cop and I knew well i was doing well in excess of 100 for example...

Come to think of it - got one for 44 in a 25 once when I really should have been put in the back of the car and then locked in a box with no windows for about 20 years...

1.) Who is representing you?
2.) When is your court date?
3.) How much will your representation cost?
4.) What are your plans after trial, go after the cop, county, city, etc?
5.) How much has been donated thus far?

Since y'all are asking:

Lawyer is James McCalla
Court Date is 12-3
Total costs - unknown. Will vary if it goes to trial.
Im going to have the charges dropped because there was no reason for the stop in the first place.
Yes, I intend to sue the city as well - especially since they know what is going on.

Other details? It is an open criminal case so there's only so much I can say.

Can you ask the lawyer for an estimate on total cost? I think it would really help your cause.

Current estimate is $1500 (ouch!)

Little steep, but he also helped with getting bail arranged and a few other things.

Thanks for sharing. It helps your cause to have an actual goal, not just something random. I can understand not sharing all of this up front but it gives you more credibility to do so. People like to know what they are spending their money on, and in this case I think it is money well spent. I hope more people get behind you on this.

What I find odd it no one has taken this up before now.

I understand that he has targets corvette/sports car people also and they tend to have deeper pockets.

I don't mind if there is a law that is enforcable but for one person to arbertrarely decide who gets pulled over and how loud is too loud is
rediculous.

I couldn't agree more. I've heard people make fun of the French for protesting their retirement age being raised to 65 from 62. I applaud them for not standing back and letting it happen. Everytime I get a letter from the SS office my retirement age has gone up and they don't even tell me it was going to happen. Sorry for getting off topic but I agree with Honorsdaddy fighting the system. More people should do the same thing.

P.S. I know I wont get any money from SS but that's not the point.

You can have this spider. The previous owner had it valued at $233.95. Maybe you can barter it for payment.
