pretty much hit the nail on the head.

the law doesn't care how hard it is for truckers to turn into a small driveway, turning right from a center lane is illegal period.

I'm not MFing the lost brother. I'm saying that if you are zipping down the feeder, you see a vehicle in the center of a 3 lane or left lane on a 2 lane feeder,
slowing down or stoping, maybe you should have that paing in your head saying "that isn't right, maybe I need to slow down and figure out what
this dude is about to do..."

Not everyone on the planet is as good or attentive a driver as you and some other people on this board and maybe they have done something stupid
once that if the other drivers (riders) around them wern't paying attention there could have been a accident.

If you will re-read my post:

Not to speak ill of the dead or take the Racer X approach but maybe
there is more fault then the obvioulsy lost delivery driver...

Gods Speed to the fallen and condolances to his loved ones...

Be careful out there people...

I was trying to convey that maybe the rider didn't assess the sitiation correctly and I was also trying to convey that anyone reading this should
think about that tomorrow when you are on your scooter in traffic.

Here, I'll put the appropreiate responce here:

jerk in the truck, we should find out who he is and go run him over
repeatedly till dead!

There, ya feel better...

What the chron posted and what really happened are not exactly the same.
Still wating on the accident report but, just by looking at the scene it is pretty clear on what happened.
I went to the wreck site and looked over the area.
It looked like Bryon was in the center lane, OR the left lane. and was moving over to the right when he hit the truck FROM the center lane. The truck made a U-turn from under the freeway and before he even became perpendicular to the feeder road he made almost a 90 degree turn to the left. If u look at a satalite pic of that area it looks to be about 4 car lengths from u-turn exit to side street, Across 3 lanes of traffic. we are "guessing" that Brian may have either came from 6 northbound and turned left at the feeder road, hence the reason for possibly being in the left lane or maybe came from 6 going north, and turned right onto the feeder road. Needless to say after looking at the scene, other than stopping completely he had no-where to go as the truck turned, stretched, across most of the 3 lanes. I Did not see any skid makes so it looked like he had no reaction time. I can't imagine that the truck was going more than 10 or 15 miles and hour but after the impact he still continued onto the side street entrance.
If Brian had hit a car in the same manner as this i think he would have just got up and maybe had minor injuries as i think neither was going very fast. Unfortunatly he hit a large truck broadside where he ended up under the wheels and was run over.

On another note.
We have been looking for his cell phone for 2 days. thinking maybe it is still with the bike wreckage. Needing more contact info. well his brother activated some kind of GPS tracing and the phone has been located at another location, a house that i last heard, altho not retrieved. Someone stole his phone. i am betting it was either the Wrecker driver or the wrecker yard. Will post up if we get any new info.
If we find out who stole it i will make sure that EVERYONE i can reach will know who this scumbag is and where he works.
later all and stay safe
Michael

Wow seriously man?? Regarles, I never understand why the need to always try and jab a little at a fallen rider. Just give your condolences and move on...I think we all know about being safe out on the streets, even if not there are plenty of posts and threads on here to remind us. Respect the dead, is all I'm saying

Then up ahead all the cars are pulling out the BP buildings then try to cut into the freeway entrance ramp.

Sorry to hear about the rider, I know it coulda been me.
Dude, this is my regular route and intersection, I'm always scared of it....

This is also our first turn when we head out after our meet

Not sure by reading what the chron posted, about how it could be anything others than the trucks fault but i guess there are always people that has to give threir 2 cents worth even if it's negative.
