If the battery is charged it should still fire up. Did you try with the clutch pulled in and in neutral?

im still wondering if its getting power at all. check the kill switch too. it sounds dumb, but ive hit it by accident without knowing it and couldnt figure out for five minutes why the thing died and wouldnt start. also, the kickstand switch is another good idea.

+1 is it getting power at all? LIghts/guages coming on when you turn the key?

from your post it sounds like it just wont turnover...if so like evryone said above check the kickstand switch, tip over sensor, kill switch...just start wiggling harnesses while hitting the starter to see if you can find it that way

vapor lock only happens with carb'd engines. chances are there is a bad switch somewhere in the system.

IF it wont turn over? U obviously arent having a fuel system problem if it wont crank over. IF (BIG IF) one of your injectors is leaking and filled the cylinder, then you cranked it over. U could possibly cause internal engine damage & possibly bend a rod.. Although even if this were to happen it would still be trying to crank the motor, and you would at least hear/feel it engage, and it would have still had to crank over enough to shut the valves on the fuel. Locking the motor up solid.

put it in second gear with the clutch out and rock the bike.. see if you can feel the motor give any.. Im positive that whoever told you that is just saying something they prob heard before..

Either your starter died. Or the one of the kill switches is unplug/wrong position. Or the starter relay took a dump. It should be pretty easy to diag..

Does it prime the fuel pump when the key is switch on?
