Please reread my post a few pages back.

If you have any other real questions, please PM me.

Everything argued against from the OP can be answered in my last post thusfar. Sorry to give busa riders a bad wrap but dam stop fkn it up for us. Myself and SBfuller already proven the bikes can corner by taking them to the track and dragging covers; please stop the perpetual dikc sizing the 1k+ riders are all to well known for.

Im outta this thread; you all enjoy. PS, love the math but overly excessive in my book

I've had my stock (stock geared too) 1K to an indicated 186 (as high as my speedo reads) in 5th gear, shifted to 6th and pulled another 1000rpm before letting off. But I'm sure it won't do that in 1 mile and most everyone believes these bikes top out at 186, and anything more is speedo variance.

A 200mph pass at Texas mile takes 26-27 seconds in a car (I came up with this from watching a youtube video so it's just a guestimate). Given more distance most everyone could probably go faster.

My point is... Top speed and standing mile are two totally different things.

Yeah it seems like half the people are talking about just going over 200 mph (ie top speed), and the other half are talking about going over 200 mph in 1 mile (ie Texas Mile). I believe the original poster is just talking top speed, not getting there in 1 mile.

In any case....WHO Cares....Seems like zx14/busa owners are just getting their panties in a wad, because a faster bike has hit the streets. BMW beats it all categories, Top speed is probably real close to each other, , just the weight of the rider could change the outcome one way or the other.

Instead of crying because you've been "de-throned", you should be excited with the new technology and BMW setting a new threshold for others to follow

Not 100% correct. Most cars and bikes run out of gear prior to crossing the line. Its not really a matter of distance it's all about gearing and the power to push tall gearing. The bikes going 220+ are doing so because they have the power (350+hp) to turn tall gears.

oh, that makes perfect sense. I'f i tell you that my speedo said i was doing 120mph... are you going to assume that i think i went 120mph? and to your last comment, congrats, you are an old , don't be jealous LOL!

LOL....this thread is funny! Lots of bad info...

You guys are confusing all out top speed and 1-mile accel runs (like Texas Mile, Maxton, Miami, etc.),

No stock production bike will run 200mph...FACT! It doesn't matter if it's a 99/00 BUSA or anything else unrestricted, they are gear limited stock and won't pull it...

With a gear change a stock BUSA, it may run 200mph but it's going to take longer than 1-mile.

In order to do it in 1-mile you need close to 200hp depending on rider (200lbs.). Sal has done it with around 186whp but he's also 160lbs.

The BMW is a quick bike but I'm still waiting for a private individual to run the times the mags/pro's are claiming. For instance the one at the Texas Mile last weekend went 177-179mph all stock all weekend. Has anyone duplicated the times/speeds the pro's have run?

I believe Brock's BMW has the SS record but it doesn't really matter now that the series is closed shop...

At least get your facts straight if you are going to compare numbers. My runs that weekend were using the new ECU tuning software. The unrestricted function DID NOT work as you can see. It doesn't matter how much power I made, the bike would NOT pull 5th and 6th gear because of the ECU shutting me down. The ECU tuning still has kinks to work out as far as I'm concerned...

For those claiming I needed the wind to run 204....the other bikes that went 200+ also backed those speeds up the following March with out the wind. They were within 2-3mph of there wind speeds.

Once I get the ECU tuning sorted I'll be back for more testing...
