I think welfare is good for those that are really in need - as temporary help. Being unemployed when you have 10 kids is neither "in need" or "temporary" it's just stupidity. People without children shouldn't be eligible regardless of their circumstances.

Those that work - pay. Those who don't - get it free. Now that's a f***ked up system.

when my parents first came to america yeah they had welfare but saved their money and opened up their own business making $$$. i know people need help and thats great that we have the welfare system but we have to re-evaluate who gets welfare support, not stop the program. this program helped my parents out greatly and i am sure it helped others get started aswell. its those who are on welfare driving 40-50k suvs and living it up on our money. i'd say we kill em but thats just me.

Not to offend you, but If your parents were able to save money while on welfare then they probably didn't need it.

Wow this is a really envolved question. I'd say mostly everyone on welware takes advantage of it more than they should. Because it so easily avaliable, and is the easier than doing the right thing. I'd also say only about 20 to 30% really deserve it. The rest of the people are just wastes of space and create a drag on the system. But in the end, call me a bleeding heart because whether it be misfortune or bad decisions...its really all about the kids.

sometimes I wish i knew why the goverment does all these stupid things.

If I was a man in power, I would create an secret elite group of ninjas that go around killing off all the scum of society.

Then 50 years later they would talk about it on the history channel, and how no one knew about it so there would be no political incorrectned disputes, but how it made this country even better.

yea, that sounds good.

that falls unhder my saying it should make it harder for them to keep it. bascially proving they need it. and residence checks should go up. if you're willing to live on the goverment then you shouldn't mind more goverment in your life.
