Bel-Ray super clean chain lube flinging onto tire

Using too much? Not drying off enough of the kerosene used to clean the chain? Brand new chain, maybe I didn't clean off enough of the thick white grease it was shipped with from the factory? I cleaned the chain with it warm, dried it off, rode around and warmed it up again, sprayed on the lube, it sat for a few hours then went to MNM last night. 40-50 mile round trip.

I'm no expert, but it looks like you are also spraying on the outside of the chain? I was told to only spray the inside of the chain so it can be pulled through the chain with centrifugal force. If you spray the outside, it gets flung off. I'm sure smarter people will chime in on it.

Just spray the inside (sprocket side) of the chain between the plates. Wipe off the outside of the chain before you ride.

+1 Motorcycles Unlimited is the reason I use it, and also the ones that told me to spray the inside (sprocket side) only.

I use the BelRay lube and only spray where it meets the sprockets. Never had a problem with it flinging off.

Use the Bel Ray and spray the inside of the chain.
If you swing by I'll show you how.

I use chain wax as well. On a side note is it strange that I love the smell of chain wax? I could seriously use it as an air freshener.

Let it set overnight, the dispersant needs to evaporate. Problem solved
