My BF bought a Walmart battery for his bike 2 years ago and it has not failed to start the bike. I think he paid less than $50 for it. He rides to work on his bike everyday rain or sunshine.

No worries here...

FWIW, they started the reciept thing a few years ago....

Took back a open celled battery a few months from the free replacement but didn't have a reciept so they told me to pound sand...

Lesson learned.

If you see them fail everday, then why would you buy one in the first place?

I've only had 1 Wallieworld battery 'fail' on me... I'd imagine the fact it sat in the car for 12-14 months with maybe 20 minutes use, and no charger on it played into it.

I've had worse luck with starters and alternators...and the butthead at Brake Check that didn't torque the wheel nut down on the bug properly.

I don't have a battery from Wally in my bike, because when I needed it, they didn't have it in stock. They may not even sell it, who knows?

Buy a new battery and get your back on your bike!

Those batteries of the same brands are available elsewhere not just Walmart.

I usually get 1-2yrs out of the battery depending on bike condition/leds etc. I dont use a tender or anything of the sort while the bike is off.

Sorry for your situation; look into a gel battery if you're willing to pay the price. It should last your needs for about the same expected amount of time.

Had a few walmart batteries. They're ok. Not great, but for the price....I really haven't had any true problems.

No problems here with wal mart batteries. Unless you're willing to cough up the $$ for an odyssey battery, deal with it.
