I think the only bike parking at the IAH parking garages is by permit only for employees. I've parked there with no issue before for just a few hours when I was giving training classes at IAH. I don't know about the off airport lots like the Parking Spot, etc.

Why not just hire a driver service and leave it at home ??? if you dont have a friend take and get you ?? it really isnt that bad, and they pick you up and take you home. Did this a month or so ago, and was very easy.

I am at Hobby at least twice a week. I see a Duc monster parked there all the time, sometimes for days on end. I would leave on a Thursday afternoon flight and return on Friday and it would be in the same spot. Highly unlikely he works there and gets the same spot everyday.

I myself wouldn't but to each their own.

I would recommend a car service.

A friend of my BF chained his front tire to a post at the IAH and was gone for 3 days. When he got back, the tire and chain were still there. No idea weher the bike went. Luckly he had insurance and his parking stub.

I concur. I am at IAH and HOU almost every week or so myself and I drive...I have seen a few bikes occasionally but they are usually cruisers with luggage racks and such. Where do you intend on leaving your gear? Your luggage? It would be a lot wiser to ride when you get home rather than directly from the airport.

There have been a lot of breakins in the past 1/2 year at Hobby with cars, so you could imagine what would happen with a bike. My father's car was broken into and nothing was stolen but still. I hate parking my 10 year old car there.
