an unbelieveable price. well here's the story.

this lady is a customer of my familys auto shop. we do a lot of her maintenance and repair work. her husband had his own harley and he got into an accident and died on his harley. she is very emotional right now and decided to sell everything and move to austin (including selling her harley because it reminds her of him). so she offered this motorcycle to me for 5,000 , because we have been good to her in the past. i even filled up the bed of a truck with all the parts and extras he had. if you saw his garage, you could see how this guy takes care of things. he had everything arranged and dated in boxes and in order. she gave me all the receipts she had, i'm talking about EVERYTHING. i bought it to ride for a bit, until i decide to sell it, but i don't know what it's really worth, besides the blue book value. this harley was BABIED since new.

Thats one helluva deal. Too bad It came at a price. The lady must have really been hurting to just sell everything her husband loved.

yeah, she selling her house and everything. they have lots of money, so the money factor didn't really matter. she was actually crying as i rode it away from her house. she even came back over to my shop afterwards and said..."please take care of this bike, george (her husband) loved this bike as much as he loved his, and he wouldn't be happy to see it go, but as long as he knows it is going to someone who appreciates the enjoyment of riding it would be ok."

It was actually kind of a sad moment when I was leaving her house.
