Beware of Brookshire

Had a nice ride yesterday with a few friends including a Z06. Rode 1488 and 362 out to Brookshire. Rolling into town, speed limit is 30 so we slow down to speed limit and roll into the exxon. To my great pleasure there are 3 DPS sitting there on their break i guess. Have never had a problem with DPS, they have always been fair. So while i'm pumping gas I hear someone yelling "Where are you boys going.?" DPS Office #1
me: I-10 because i don't want to tell him
DPS: Good because you aren't welcome in my county.. !!
me: yes sir thank you
DPS: I don't give a who you are .. cop FD or whatever.. zero tolerance on bike guys.. you got it..??
Me; yup have a nice day.
This continued for 5 minutes... Avoid brookshire.. hahaha

He's right, people go out there and treat their residential roads like a race track. It was only a matter of time...

If I worked those roads as a police officer I'd probably hate riders too.

I think the only people that are allowed to be angry at the cop's comments are those that have never driven that road like a personal racetrack.

It's only people on sport bikes. I go out on my tard every weekend, and pass several cops, no one ever bats an eyelash. They don't mess with cruisers either, they're not the problem.

That SS screaming past a residence at 8 on a Saturday morning well into the triple digits is always going to get the wrong attention.

I actually haven't ridden out 362 in years... didn't know there was an issue there.. and i kept my mouth shut because one of the riders didn't have his M endorsement... didn't want any extra attention.

In addition to that, the way they pass other motorists is nothing short of retarded. Also if there's ever a wreck out there, it's a sport bike. I've seen a couple of cruisers in the last two years that crossed the line or had a car cross the line on them resulting in an actual collision, but most of the time it's guys on SS' that don't know how to ride, and there's no one else involved.
