Did it overheat?

K, i didn't let my bike warm up (03 600cbr) it was probably 60 outside (was at night) and had to leave ASAP emergency and as soon as i got home i stalled out going up my driveway, ok cool. Tried to start back up, but its chugging to come on. Woudln't come on for the life of me so i pushed it in garage and i took my gear off, turned key and fan came on and the temp was 248 farenheit. I know my battery took a dump because my clock resetted and it went my temp gauge went from farenheit to celsius which means everything reset. I turned it off and went to sleep.

Now, I thought it was overheated or what not so i rode in the morning. Didn't overheat, but my shift from FIRST to SECOND is ALOT smoother. Before, it had a click when passing neutral but its more buttery now. Another thing, I feel i've lost a bit of power in first when i give it alot of gas. It's not slow or anything but i've noticed a loss of power. Any ideas?

how many miles are on the bike? could be fouled plugs or a number of other things. i think your first to second shift is irrelevant to it starting/dying

as far as it overheating, a bike will register around 230 and on up after its been turned off and sat for a min or 2 so couldnt tell if it actually overheated when u were ridding it or if it was just normal.....

its a 03 so that means you should of flushed the coolant about 5 times by now... how many times has it been flushed and fresh coolanol/coolant/water wetter been put in?

pull your plugs and take a look at them, i would bet there either foulled or wet( possibly a leaky injector) but i would bet more on the plugs just being old/ fouled. either take a pic and post of the plugs and make sure you label which plug is from which cylinder. or send to my phone 832 367 7618

also when u said chugging to come back on, was it turning over as normal but just bogged down a little or was it a weak turn over like the battery was low?
