About The Texas Mile:
The Texas Mile, a bi-annual motorsports festival started in 2003, welcomes streetbikes of all sizes, exotic street and racecars, in addition to land-speed racers. Participants come from all edges of the United States, Canada and Mexico to test themselves and their motorized equipment. Competitors achieve top speed in one mile from a standing start and have another half-mile to get their steeds stopped. Official speeds are calculated by a speed trap located in the final 132 feet of the course. Timing equipment includes timing lights and lasers hooked to a computer specifically designed for calculating top-speed runs.

Holy ! Tell me he picked up those guys as sponsors. When I talked to him he said he only a tire sponsor and a ceramic bearing sponsor.

He is a bad and I hope he is getting some backing to keep setting amazing records. He may not interest many here, but its hard for some to grasp the concept of what LSR are trying to accomplish.

It sucks it was not the local Tom Gates. It had to be someone though. I sure as never thought 300 was possible till I met Tommy and Bill. Where will the MPH club stop?

What more can be done to a bike? Are there any new ideas to plant 400+ hp to the ground. If so I would imagine they would turn the power up.
