I believe all but the Coast Guard can get you in a fighter jet, but the Air Force and Navy are pretty much the elite. ( I knew a civilian airline pilot in Tulsa that bought a MIG and flew it occassionally. I can't imagine what it cost in fuel and maintenance.

does anyone know what kind of money can be made annually? and then I guess you will have to be at the disposal of the goverment for their monthly wars they might want to start.

but boy, would that be the ultimate rush. shooting off the ground at 200mph+, conditioning your boddy to handle 7gs at just the flick of your wrist, and dog fighting in the air...oh my .

I believe they are now accepting those who have undergone LASIK surgury. You have to be an Officer to enter the flight program. To see the pay look up an Officer pay scale, but remember flight pay, Cost of Living, BAH, BAS, and numerous other monetary benefits are added to the base pay listed. I finish my Bachelor's degree in Dec, and am going to start working on my packet for the flight program.

If I had a F14, I'd loose my pilot license for creating Sonic Booms everywhere I went.
