Lightbulb So I wanna make my downed R6 into a street fighter

So I haven't had much luck selling my wrecked 05 R6 Raven. Anyone every turned their old, another wrecked bike, or any bike for that matter into a street fighter. I wanted to use it mainly for commuting back and forth to work.

Any advise is much appreciated.

pay him no mind. streetfighters are awesome. they are also very easy. i'll edumacate you

step 1) remove fairings
step 2) you now have a streetfighter!

you can go with an aftermarket headlight like on the sv650 or use any of the DOT legal dirtbike/enduro/sm headlights that are readily available on the net. also, a good wire tuck will do you some good. i have seen many instances of replacing ugly white fluid tanks with beer cans or energy drink cans. NOS energy beverage bottles are fun for this. you get some weird looks.
as for commuting, they do just fine. i commuted year round for a couple of years, nearly every day on my sv. now that i have grip warmers on a bike, i would suggest doing the same if you plan on riding in the winter. it is hardly a necessity, and it does ad more wires, but it sure has been nice on the handfull of really cold mornings we have had so far

Mods must not be fans of street fighters.

mechanically, you need to change the sprockets and get some torque in that thing so you're not whining the out of it everywhere you go. i also recommend having some tools like a welder, saw's, and beer readily available.

removing the fairings makes you a wannabe sf, get flat bars, bar end mirrors, chop the rear seat off.. now you're making progress.

1st..... hit that thing against the wall...
2nd.... pick it up.
3rd..... ready to ride a street-fighter.

*follow step #1 if you wanna make it look more streetfighter*
