my blinkers dont blink

ok, so im trying to get my bike inspectable and all.

i got a clear alternatives LED taillight, and some aftermarket mirrors with blinkers built in. i got a "universal" relay and wired everything up through my left side switch.

when i hit the signal switch the correct blinkers come on solid instead of blinking. i dunno if the relay is defective, or maybe just not strong enough?

can anyone tell me if you can just add another relay into the circuit or do you have to get a more powerful :dontknow: one?

can anyone tell me what kind of specs im looking for if i go to radio shack or whatever?

is there such a thing as a variable relay, that i could adjust with a screwdriver or whatever until i got the flash rate i wanted?

any help would be greatly appreciated!!! im trying to get this working asap!

Do you have the proper amount of blinker fluid added?

my blinkers dont blink

Are your front blinkers blubs led also? Cuz we know your tail lights are. Try hooking up reg bulbs on for the front and rear, then see what happens. If it works with reg bulbs that means your going to need a relay for your led to make it trick your you flash relay to think its a reg bulb. Now its it with reg bulbs then check all your wiring make sure you got them pluged it right. If that still dosen't work then you got some issuse with your flash relay. Hope that help chris..

when I switched out my regular bulb turn signals for the LED's I had to buy some sort of regulator deal...When the signals came on they appeared like they were solid, however they drew less amperage and blinked so fast you couldn't see the flash (especially in the daylight). I bought the regulator and it solved the problem, however, there are 12 LEDs in each signal and only 6 of them blink to there maximum potential at idle and the others blink about half of the others. When riding and changing lanes and what not while the bike is above 2 or 3K RPM they all light up to there full potential. Anyhow, hope that makes sense. Good luck.
