Gixers are notorious for that. I recall hearing there was a better quality part from ducati or something that works but I'm not sure right now

I am glad to hear it all worked out for you. Always good to help a fellow MH'er.

Plus it allows me to clear out more space upstairs, which is what makes the wife happy.

what a great thread to read... Patrick and AKSracing helping you out. If there is one thing we can agree on it's that the north side rules best shop and the best people
agreed.. pat checked it out just could not afford to pay for it.so i paid for the diagnostics. i like working on my bike so i figured id slowly fix it up. he charged the batt. for me and it got me about 3/4 of a mile away from my house before it died. pushed it the rest of the way. 3-4 ppl stopped to see if i needed help. some one offered me a a bottle of water. some one offered to go get me gas(they thought i ran out) and someone offered to help push it the rest of the way. i wasnt to far so i declined all. some chicks were hootin out of a yellow wrangler. they looked 12. lol

the next day aks racing hollered at me with the parts. got a great deal on them put the bike back together and now im back in full effect 1 day of down time.

The NORTH side FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually AKS Racing gets the call mid last week while in Bueno Aires that Jerzey is up a creek (with no paddle). I checked when I returned to TX and sure enough had the parts.

Anything left for bikes other than the '07/'08 GSXR1000 or the '09/'11 GSXR1000 is slated to be gone. So win / win for both Buyer and Seller.

Glad you are back up and running. And please leave those 12 yo girls alone....
