scary wife

my wife is the biggest hater of me and bikes. thru all the bikes that i have had and plan on getting she hates it. last week we were bullshitting around and she ask if she could sit on my yamaha and she did then started asking questions about how to ride. then she says i want to ride but not now cause she is prego. i always told her i am going to get her a 250 on income tax. i really have to now. i guess it would be cool

Yeah she may be interested for a minute, but most women dont get into like we do. My wife wanted a bike , got one and she rode it all of 3 times. This may not be the case for you, but in my experience is the majority of the time, and fordib she gets hurt, you will never hear the end of it.

ditto, mine doesn't hate on riding or anything but she would like to ride. i really doubt it would ever be anything consistent because she doesnt have any real hobby that she wants to stick with.

either way i plan to stick her through the MSF class and get her a 250 in spring or something.

msf first, might save you a couple thousand if she hates riding after the class.

Mine hates the manual/clutch aspect of bikes (after the MSF course). Says I should get her a scooter, sigh...

I think it will be good. My woman picked up a ninja 250 not too long ago. Taught her how to ride and now shes doing great, driving by herself, and confident. Starting off in a parking lot helps. Its always good to have your significant other your riding buddy.

Sometimes. I rode first, then the Ween. He loves it, but doesn't have as much time to ride as I do. Right now, though, he has three bikes in the garage, and I have two.

The biggest problem both my sister and I have noticed, is that we don't ride as hard as the guys do, so we're often left behind. Which is fine with me, but some woman might get -hurt about it.

That was one of the hardest things to get across to my wife is that when I'm riding , I do not answer the phone.
She understands it a little better now.

My wife didn't mind so much - it's the feakin' kids who I've had to beat about the head and body to get to stop calling me.

Need more lube.

I would love for my chic to ride. She actually knows how, rode dirt when she was young. Maybe in the future.... I have to get a bike first, dammit!!

my girl wanted a bike a while back, and she knew i would ride it more than her, so we got a shadow 750. she had apparently learned how to ride a gold wing when she was in high school so i was like "game on". We get the bike home from the dealership and she points at the clutch and says, "what's that?". That's when I realize she rode an automatic....oh what a journey we have ahead of us. It didn't take long for her to give up trying to ride and start hanging out on the seat instead. The first time she dropped it she cried...not about the skinned knee, but about the chrome..that's when i knew i was in love hahah. now she wants a scooter to ride to class/work which isn't far, but I'd be worried about someone running her over
