"The Bridgestone Potenza RE050 RFT is a run-flat tire that continues to function safely up to a designated speed and distance after losing pressure. It is a self-supporting run-flat tire employing a special rubber sidewall reinforcement to carry the weight of the vehicle following deflation. "

they are intended to get you home w/o having to change your tire on the side of the road. if you get a nail , you'll need to notice that the tire is visibly lower then the others. and take it to get repaired asap. the longer you ride w/ it low/flat, the more likely you'll have to replace the tire.

good choice.
