Roo palms are very thin but provide better abrasion protection than cowhide. The value of thin gloves is feel, especially if you like to use one or two fingers on brake/clutch levers.

Those old teknic violators are a great glove, especially for 35 bucks.

The only gloves I have been seriously tempted by are the Kushitani GPR5...but that's in Held/Dainese territory (200+ dollars). They had them on special at Laguna Seca this year for 150.
