Since we're on the topic of fast bikes, and someone mentioned a power cruiser, keep your eyes open for a silver Triumph Rocket. He has a turbo on that bike that you can't see or hear, and it'll smoke a busa or zx14 up to about 100MPH!!! I forget the man's name, but he wears a yellow arai helmet when he rides. whatever you do, don't race him for money, he might just take ya.

kinda like my v-max.
with 1985 technology it's still the fastes muscle "crusier" out.
still better times than v-rod, vtx, Rocket, etc.
STILL waiting on the new v-max after they have been talking maybe 5 or 6 years now altho they DO have a prototype.

Yah, I ride the Busa, Reading the arts. the Zx-14 has the better numbers for hp, torq, speed and comfort, but the bike is not exactly track ready, especial with the current suspension. At least the busa you can have some fun on the track. I guess if you want a touring "sport looking" bike you are prob. better off w/ that zx-14.

ive seen this triumph you speak of. I saw him just the other day off I10 and westgreen. He gave me little 250 a thumbs up

what the is i with people. when you think of busa or zx14, it has to be dragging on the ground, vato loco paint job, evertyhing is either chrome, or spiky, and its just an all around utterly useless bike

Talk about Twilight Zone material!!

Someone just posted this on the V-Rod Forum:

"And the winner is the Ninja ZX14.....OK I was bored and doing the usual channel surf on tv and happpen to come across a program called the Sportbike. A bunch of crazies doing all kinds of street stuff...that you normally see on the road...Anywho they had a guy who's a real big custom rocket designer from florida....He had an custom design drag racing Hyubusa and a Ninja ZX14 both stock. He took them to the track had two pro's race them....Best out of 3....Well the Ninja took the first race by one bike length....the Hybusa took the second on a good start.....it ended close....Then the ZX14 swallowed him whole on the last one....done fineto. New Rocket King."

the busa was not stock, and the name of the show is Superbikes, not sportbikes. the guy who posted that on the V-rod forum needs to put down the pipe and walk away, his brain is obviuosly impaired.

With equal riders, the ZX-14 will be quicker than the Busa in the 1/4 mile, but not by much. Top speed is limited on both to ~186 mph. Stock, the ZX-14 has more hp and should have a higher unlimited top speed if it's aerodynamic drag is as low as the busa's. Check out the latest Cycleworld. There is a test of the two.
