Lowering a motorcycle

Why? Aside from dropping the seat height whats the goal when lowering a motorcycle?

IMO it's not near bad as some make it sound. It depends on how low. Some have no idea and they just repeat what they have read or heard.

So my feet touch the ground. No matter how it effects the ride (my bike scrapes the ground WAY before my knee will ever get there), I have to be able to hold it up when I'm stopped.

But I do see your point in the question as to why people would lower a bike that they sit just fine. I don't think most guys buy their bikes with performance in mind (at least not at first). Everybody got their bikes because somebody they knew had one and it looked cool.

Why extend a swing arm on a 600? Can you really drag that?

yeah thats kinda what i was thinking, i see dropped 600's and kits for it, but other than looks or seat height i didnt see how it would improve handling and theres no point in putting a 600 on the strip.

Why couldn't you drag race a 600?

Because you want to win. Are you telling me somebody on a 600 could compete with YOU?

There is a 15 year old kid at the strip that started on a 250 and worked his way up to a Busa. You have to start somewhere.

That's a fully build bike with a pro racer superstreet magazine is a joke they never give full specs or the real deal about bikes . But a 600 is a really fun bike on the drag strip stretch and lowered you can have your way with it lol unlike a zx10 busa zx14 gsxr1000
