As will Lojack with the Early Warning System, which is the only system Lojack now sells for motorcycles. It notifies 5 points of contact via phone, text, and e-mail.

This is why I buy from Motorcycles Unlimited. I know Patrick has already stalked his parts suppliers into fear.

It lets you know your bike is gone.......then what?????????????

You have to wait for the overworked leo's to get around to it. Auto theft investigators typically handle these cases. In general they don't work nights & weekends.

It takes the other officers two hours to respond to a traffic accident on the weekend. I wouldn't be holding my breath that they're going to drop everything to go looking for your bike.

mine has been stolen twice. got it back both times within 8 hours, and im on the old lojack system. your point is moot.

and might i add that the Lojack company has fking fantastic customer service.

Get your vehicle stolen...take 1 an hour or so to find it yourself and do what? Take it back at gunpoint? :-)

To address your issues: first if you're lucky you'll get the notification and catch them in the act. I personally know of 2 cases here in Houston where that has happened.
Second, if you don't catch them you call it in to the police. At that point every police car equipped with the Lojack locator no matter what precinct or department can receive your bikes signal.
For example here in North Houston that would be Prec. 4 contable, HPD, HCSO, State Police etc. The police don't have to "respond" to your call to take the report, they merely need to be in the vicinity of your bike to get it's signal.

With a 97% recovery rate in the first 24 hours that's damned better chance than without Lojack.

Lojack is entered into the national crime database attached to your VIN. It's the only recovery system directly used by leo. None of the GPS systems are.
