Spring to College Station... need a good route planned.

I am going to do some college tours in prep for a transfer and want to have a very fun ride there. So give me some tips on what to hit on the way there.

I-45 to 105 to 6 just sound waaaaay to boring.

45 to hwy 30, hwy 30 gives you some nice "forest-like" and "hilly" roads

just left CS this afternoon try 1488 to 362 you can either jump off 362 and Hwy 2 or continue on and find your own path from there as long as you head in the same general direction you should be able to find your way into CS.

The FG's adjust to every rider. That's what they do.

Any given ride there will be track/CMRA peeps and people riding their first group ride or even second day of riding. What makes it work is the people that ride with eachother alot, know the routes and are willing to ride with others not make them ride with them.

If you find yourself returning back through Navasota and 105 and have some extra time, check out the road south off 105 to Whitehall for a run down and back.....I did it recently in my Ferrari (at night and new to the road), but it seemed like it would be fun on a bike.

EDIT:

Oh yeah, watch out for armadillos......nuff said.
