06 BUSA Fork Seal

My left fork seal is leaking (presumed ruptured). Would I need any special tools? Is this an home fix item or do I need to take this into a shop? If I just purchase the required repair parts and fluid, more or less how much am I looking into supplies for this. I am trying to save money, and am trying to avoid going to a shop at this time.

I did it before on a 600f4 following this guide: http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/ho...als/index.html

Took a fair bit of time the first time.

busas need the seals redone roughly every 10k... either they will leak or the old fluid will start to wear them out and you will be replacing the forks.... make sure you look the tube over really good for any pitting or chips, because a tiny little nick will cause it to leak.

Thanks and good call on both responses. I have about 20k on my BUSA so I guess I was pretty lucky to have them last this long.
