I have had a 636 , a 954RR and now I want to get a ZX-14 that's what I am now saving up for. I ride with my friend Jason and he had one and I got on his and it felt more comfortable than my 636 and I didn't notice the fact that it weighed more than my 636 it is probably the way it is stretched out over the frame cant wait to get mine and I am sure my girl will like it a lot better than that tampon they call a seat for the second rider. LOL

Yes my girl loves the sitting position so much more!

A good dynotune will cure it. U can get the ivans and a separate gipro gear indicator too
Yeah, I dont really wanna go pay dollars for a dynotune without a proper exhaust system and then have to do it again. I actually tried a small fix which is associated with the P.A.I.R. valve (part of the "KLEEN" air system) involving plugging up a recirculating hose that pumps hydrocarbons back into the system to burn off or some such nonsense. And this has resolved most of the deceleration popping except some at ~3500 RPMs and when giving ~1-2% acceleration during deceleration.

^^^ yes, its called an airbox mod, but you will still get some decel pop...ive grown to like it! Schnitz said adding a TRE will mostly eliminate it but i didnt care to buy it.

Going to get the manual APE CCT adjustor at some point soon here. Any other quirks you might think of before I stumble over them?

Ya that's what I figured, first bike I've had that did that. But its 90% cleared up after the airbox mod

as for other little tweaks man im about tapped on info. U seem to be on top of it all. For mine im done with engine mods...... paint, stretch and drop is my next move just to make it more comfortable. Since the seat is so wide my legs are pretty stretched to reach the ground. SO i wanna lower her about 2 inches, stretch it to keep the nose on the ground ( i only weigh 175), and paint........ well that just for poser points

Heh yeah I can touch down on either side, but not flat. I dont wanna lower or stretch it because I love that it performs well in the twisties right now.

As for engine, I couldn't imagine doing any mods for power. Though I am sure there is quite a bit I can still do for smoothing this beast out, making her breathe better and suspension and breaking.

EDIT: Mmmm I may come down to a Southside meet this week you do any?
