Carpenters?

How hard would this be to build?

How do you think they made it waterproof?

Awesome tank!! It should hold water if built properly. 1/2 plate glass front and sides should be plenty heavy too.

I wanna build something like that but I don't know how I'd waterproof it.. it's wood all round except for a glass front, I can actually get a piece of acryllic for close to free to use instead of the glass, I just don't know what type of wood to buy or really even how to go about making it. Doh.

Well, it seems to me from the pics that after the box was built and glass installed they sealed it with silicone and then painted it over with a primer/sealer and then some blue pool paint. Thats only my guess but if I was to build one thats how i would do it.

yea...

the box is easy to make.. u need the tools tho.. i.e. band saw.. router.. etc..

u silicone the edges of the glass and wood.. with the clear cocking type stuff so it still looks pretty

and coat the wood with a waterproof sealer pretty simple.. just make sure u use wood screws and plenty of them... as well as good wood... stain the wood first.. to make it dark. .the put on a water proof sealer... route and edge in the wood for the glass to slide it.. so it stays put.. and put alot of the cocking in it.. then slide the glass in.. and wipe up the mess.. and all edges of the box.. pretty much a done deal..

i think i repeated a few things.. a few times.. i dunoo.. its 8 am.. or something.. and im just getting home from a graveyard... im a dead..

hope this helped
