They're both pretty sexy, personally if I was gonna buy a new bike or one just a few years old, I'd buy a Harley for the resale value. Anything older than a few years I'd go Japanese.

I dont think the VRSCF is quite as expensive as you seem to think. Sticker on the 2011's is under 15K and you can find one or two year old models for far less.

The Stryker is what..um..12?

Well if he was looking at the Stryker, the VRSCF isnt much more. Used, it would be less.

The Nightster? Well the Sportster is a great bike - i wont say anything negative about it - except that anything other than the basic models are WAY overpriced. The new "48" is about the worst offender. Frankly for what it would cost for the average 1200 Sportster once you get out the door, you're not that far from a VRSCDX or VRSCF - especially if you look at a used V-Rod.

Stryker is a GREAT bike - bulletproof engine - well made and comfy. Can't go wrong with them - but if you're buying purely on price, you can get what you really want if you just look around.

And oh yeah - im not the one looking for the Nightster... besides, i already have a big-boy bike...

Vrod muscle is a clean bike haven't seen one yet on road just at dealership. Stryker looks good motors good. I like my vtx 1800 I can jump with the vrods. There a MC dedicated to v rods one there guyss v rod is a monster but its not the muscle. At one the border cycles in Pasadena always has a few v rods there cheap too.

They're wonderful bikes - you wont hear a single negative thing from me about Star Motorcycles.

That engine is seriously underworked in that bike too....

Well the Warrior was a modified Road Star...the Stryker is a modified VStar 1300.

More of a bike than the Warrior ever was - with more potential for performance.

Somehow I'm thinking with the proper minimal modifications, one could get a crapload of power out of an 80ci/1300cc, OHC, liquid cooled, V-twin...

After all - look what HD manages with the VRSC...
