Shoei replacement visor

I have a shoei rf-1100 helmet and I'm trying to decide whether to go with the dark smoke visor or the spectra chrome visor. If you guys have this same helmet and have either the dark smoke or spectra chrome visor please let me know what you think of it.
Is it too dark? Is it not dark enough? How easy is it to scratch? etc.

Did you think it was dark enough during the day? Also could people see your face when you had your helmet on with the dark smoke visor?

yeah it worked completely fine during the day, could still see everything clearly while bocking out the sun. no one can see you unless they go straight up to your face

its equal to tinting your windshield in a car.... but i very highly doubt you would get pulled over for something that silly.

I'm in the same boat.

Just got an RF1100 in flat black, and want the spectra chrome visor. The Shoei brand is ~$80 on eBay, but I found what looks to be a knockoff brand for $35 or so.

I'm thinking about taking the chance on the cheaper one for the time being, I'm afraid I'd tear up the $80 too quickly with flying road debris

Figured I'd post the link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SHOEI...Q5fMerchandise

At $45 after shipping, its a lot more appealing than $80 for the Shoei Branded one.

I do agree that you get what you pay for, but sometimes you luck out too.
