FIrst dirtbike.

Well rode a dirt bike for the third time in my life sunday. I ate my four times, felt completely awkward on the bike not sure if I am going to stick with it, it feels so sketchy. I was goofing off on a YZ 125 could that be why it feel so weird? The bike seemed really small. I am 6'4".

It sounds like you need to buy my 2009 Yamaha WR450f. It's made for a 6'4" guy

you'll get the hang of it....these 2 strokes have a twitchy throttle and can feel a bit awkward until you get used to sliding sideways while WOT. 2 strokes FTW! I do think a 125 for a guy who is 6'4" might be a little small...suspension goodies?

a 125 is a full size mx bike. a 250 or a 450 won't be any bigger or taller, just a larger engine size. 125's are still fun because they are soo light and flickable and when you get on that top end, they will scream. They just lack the torque that a 250 2 stroke or a full size 4 stroke will have. Plus yamaha mx bikes usually have a smaller feel to them. It's just the way their ergonomics usually feel. Yamaha's are great bikes but i love my Honda's. They don't feel as cramped compared to a yamaha.

Their TTR-125 is a smaller trail bike and a 4 stroke. I'll bet that's what you were riding.

yea, sorta...

If he had the dual sport, that means he had the Drz400 "S" model. ()
I have what started off as the off-road only Drz400 "E" Model, then it got legalized.

BIG difference in power & weight.

E model has better FCR carb, Better Cams, 10 more HP & 35 pounds lighter than the S or SM models.
