A real bike??

Hello Team:

Tonight at PP1 (around midnight) there was a group of riders and I overhear one of the guys telling another guy: "...get a real bike..." The comment catch my attention because I have hear the same comment in another thread in this forum. Pardon my ignorance but what is a "real bike"?? I think is kind of a stupid comment so please enlighten me!!

I had someone say the other night when I was leaving the bar that my sv650 was a bike. i barely heard him so I asked him to repeat himself (in a nice way actually) He then said that it was nice and asked if I was going to upgrade. I am not really a big guy, but I laughed at how he changed his tune really quickly when he realized I heard him.

Some random guy, I was heading out after they called last call and he was standing there talking to someone.

I wasnt even , I love hearing peoples opinion on bikes. (I have noticed they are usually wrong.) I was genuinely interested. but he suddenly changed everything he said...

I've met those people before. Many of them come to wherever they are when they make that comment on a 1k w chickenstrips on a stretched and lowered frame or in a car.

I let them talk their chit. I find those tend to be the slowest people anyways on the street w the least amount of experience. If their babies' mama doesnt make them sell their bike or they dont lose it in a looping accident they will come to find out in the later future how much of a diik they sounded like.

They also run w the crowd/friends that "use to have a bike" and the "it was a yamaha 1300 firehawk."

entertaining yes, but not worth the chance of someone following you home and stealing your bike.
