My New Bike-2000 ZX7R

Hey guys, just got back from gettn the Insp Sticker and Insurance. She rides good, has a slight hesitation at 1st, but then takes off like a byatch! I think because she sat for a few months, she just needs to get out and breath some. She reminds me of that 80's movie "The Dark Crystal", if you seen it, then you know what I'm talking about. My kids say I should call her Shrek! Later I'll probable buy the parts to fix it back to stock. But either way, it was a good deal for only $2K.

No, actually it seats a little high for me, gotta figure out how to lower it about 1/2 inch and it would be perfect. Know it can be done, adjusters, just not sure how to do it yet.

1st, how do you shave a seat. My last bike I could have my feet flat on the ground, this one I have to tip/toe a little bit. I know there is an adjuster under the seat for the height, just not sure how to adjust it.

2nd, found it posted on another site HSN, slower posting over there, but I still PM him and I was the 1st in line.

on top of the shock there's two nuts and a thread bolt there's a plate between the nuts tha'ts how you adjust the rear ride height.

Thanks Paniro187, that's what I was trying to figure out to lower her a little bit. Not wanting a street fighter, but it was a great deal. Put a little more money into the fairings and original nose and it will be perfect.

you're in crosby too. i'm in atasocita i have that zx7r also if you need some tech tips and let me know i also have alot of spare parts i don't need anymore such as the air intake tubes and alot of other stuff you might need to get it back to standard. mightwant to ask candierr also they just totalled hers so she might be able to rob some parts off it before the insurance company comes to get it.
