Dude you should check out Metro's record in regards to accidents... and I'm JUST talking about downtown where buses have run over bike riders and pedestrians.

Stay alert, stay alert, stay alert.

Every time I am crossing an intersection I slow down in order to properly look both ways... I continue to scan until i pass the intersection.

You just gotta do everything you can to reduce the risk that you will become road pizza. This was preventable, even though it is unfortunate that someone had to lose their life to someone else's stupidity and carelessness.

I hear ya.. I ALWAYS look. And if at all possible let the car next to me go 1st. At least I will have something to take the initial impact.

why every intersection gets a "double look" before I go. and like previously stated above, will let another vehicle move first, before I do, if that moment has a questionable outcome to it.

good eye, how did you know? i was going to ask the location.

and i agree that it's how not many ppl appeared to rush to his aid. looked like a person or 2 came out of the bus. and person on the scooter seems in a state of shock...which is understandable that he was inches from his own death
