Make sure you tell her to hold on until the car behind you has come to a complete stop at red lights. If you need to make a quick move to get out the way of a car that's not stopping she will fall into the line of the approaching car.

If she needs to move a little tell her to tap you on the shoulder or something to give you a heads up before she does it. That way you can be ready and compensate and NEVER during a turn. Only stopped or straight.

many years ago when I was a complete noob on anything with two wheels and a motor

we went to cabo and we rented a scooter

I wanted one for each of us, she said lets share and save money

later on, I come up to an intersection with no light or stop I intended on going left, she barked NO go strait

I choked, and made a mistake by trying to change my line and go straight. Half way through the intersection, before the front got pointed inthe direction the wife wanted to go we hit a patch of sand, it was a few inches deep.

Lost all traction, and ended up plowing into one of the highest curbs I have ever seen. It must have been 12 inches tall. Wife came off the scooter and landed on the sidewalk. Ok but bruised and shaken.

The scooter smashed my leg on the curb and the front wheel was bent to . large briuse on leg, no break.

Since then, I have taken MSF, and put about almost 18k miles on my 650 with no major getoff.

The wife, still will not ride with me, ever, hands down flat out NO.

even though I know she will enjoy it, she got a bad experience and wants no part in it ever again.

like all the tips in here. all great things that add into it all.
she needs to become 'one' with you. practice it before u just do it.

riding is a great thing..and an even better thing to share with your S.O. [:

my girlfriend's dad threw her off the back of a bike when she was a kid, going over RR tracks, and she didn't want any part of riding, but I convinced her to go on some short errand rides with me, and recently took her through the forest, even 3090 lol. I told her to keep her nipples on my shoulder blades. Look up the road and know where we're going when I lean you lean, my shoulders move, your nipples stay on em lol. Worked out pretty good
