Yea, I know that, and they're probably better riders than most on this forum

now you're getting into real riding that's not for this thread.

Why is it that the "track heads" always talk down on everything other than what they do. I dont recall ever seeing anyone who drag races saying its the only "real" riding.

I don't know if he's worth a on a drag strip but professional AMA racer Steve Atlas was the rider in the shootout

You noticed that too?
I think it's funny. I noticed most of the guys who say drag racing is not real racing don't even try it first. Some will just say its not for them. Then there are those who have no interest in it because they tried it and sucked at it. I know road racing is not for me and I suck at drag racing but I still enjoy the challenge of it.

You cant make of for mistakes in lap 1 on lap 2 on the strip. You have to get a lot of just right in 9 sec. too.

There was a mh trip to the drag strip one time and a lot of people showed up. Lots of track folks that had fun and realized it was a little more difficult then just pin it and go straight. But there are still tons that think they are the holy grail of moto riders cause they run trackdays. I guess im happy bein a talentless posed that can only go straight though. O except when I turn off the track that is

There was 2 MH group trips. Some realized what was up. Some didnt get the real affect because they didnt have a goal. Its goals that add difficulty. Other wise you are just running straight down a 1/4 mile.

It's easy to go straght. The difficult part is to get from point A to point B from a dead stop as quick as possible.
