It was money well spent. Keith instructs in the classroom and gets out on the track as well. His staff of guys/gals are top notch professionals. It is total immersion learning.

Ormand, you will be fine on a BMW S1000RR. It is put in rain mode which limits the HP and you still have ABS and traction control. It is a very confidence inspiring bike.
I did my class at Laguna Seca. Amazing track and the instructors are always close by and they see EVERYTHING so you will definitely improve your riding skills.

But I am a 280lb man riding a 70hp 650r...the 1000rr will eat me alive! lol

And welcome Keith Code! I love all that you do for providing science and logic to the motorcycle enthusiast, and in a variety of media too

The S1000s are fantastic and very easy to ride.
I'm off for a week of schools, just wanted to weigh in so you guys wouldn't think that the gods weren't watching everything that goes on in the most incredible community there is---riders.

Houtex, what's the price range for something like that? I'm too lazy and tired to search.

Kinda awesome a legend like Keith Code posted a bit on here!

I lied. I just went and priced a few options out. There are several tracks I could go to, use their S1000RR, rent their gear, etc. . . and it's easily under $1,000. That doesn't seem too bad at all. Laguna is almost $3,000 though. Just a biiiiit outta my range.

For reference a few mountainbike schools cost about what Laguna cost!

I've done two two-day camps: one at Miller Motorsports Park and one at Infineon Sears Point. Both were worth the money. Here is the link.
