Chefs Roll Call

How many of the motohouston members consider themselves culinary afficianados? I know we all cook. How else can we eat:laughing6
What I'm after is who can prepare a gourmet style meal and what is that particular meal. (BBQ wizards included) My newest creation was seafood gumbo with crab legs and lobster tails.:notworthy

Heart attack potatos (special bbq side dish)

5 lb red potatos (skins and all)
16 oz tub of sour cream
1/3 block velveeta
2 cups chopped green onion
3 lb bacon
2 cups 1015 unyon

Boil the potatoes, drain, mash, mix in the velveeta, fry the bacon, crumble it up and put in the mix, sautee the 1015 onion in the bacon grease, then pour into concoction grease and all, add in all other ingrediates, mix until blended, serve, eat, schedule appt with cardiologist.

you have to let the roux cook enough before adding the rest of the ingredients. This is the part people get nervous about and it's actually really easy once you get a handle on the heat level.
