How far have you rode your sport bike?

What's the furthest you have rode your sportbike? I'm not talking about a lazyboy on wheels like a goldwing. Has anyone ever rode to Cali or daytona beach? Me the furthest was Galveston and that's about all me and my wife's butts can handle. I've heard of Harley riders riding from the Florida keys to Alaska in a week but has any sportbike riders out there done anything like this?

Mine is a sport touring so it doesn't count, but I recently did 350 miles each way. 350 miles/day isn't hard on mine. I don't think how far you go is the problem, but how big of chunks you do it in.

Okay so what's the biggest chunk you have done? Florida to Alaska in a week is some big chunks.

350 miles, and it wasn't bad at all. Stopped twice, once to pee and once to fill up with gas. I honestly think a 500 mile day would have been no problem.

Left Round Rock on a Saturday to South Padre, from Padre, went to McAllen and Crossed the border at Reynosa.

Rode in the Mexico side all the way to Piedras Negras and Eagle pass. Crossed to the US side and rode to Del Rio.

From Del Rio I took took Vanderpool and Leakey to Comfort, Fredericksberg, Marble Falls then home to Round rock.

Dont know how far that was but I almost got heat stroke an hour outside of Del Rio, it was like 105 that day.

All on my 2004 CBR600RR. The most uncomfortable sport bike ever made.

sport bike seats are nice and wide and comfortable. Try doing 600+ miles on a motard...

I'm good for 9.5 -10 miles. That's with 2-3 bars for adequate hydration.

Yesterday went down to surfside, across to galveston, back to surfside and chilled at the beach for a few hours then went back home. About 200 miles. Left around 6, was frikkin cold on the first leg to surfside. Should have worn more than a t shirt under my A* textile. My hurt a bit. Gonna do more today.

250 or so w/o a break other than fueling up, around 180 it starts getting a bit uncomfortable...

Brak it up, like recommended and it's not as bad.

I've done Houston - Dallas, Houston - Hillcountry, Houston - Pearsall (south of SanAnton), and some all day rides in the hillcountry no way of knowing how far, I reset my tripmeter every fillup. Have 32,000 mi on my 02 6r.

I didnt know what it was then.

I have done a bunch of rides to South Padre from Round Rock, to Dallas, day long hill country rides, too.

I put about 20,000 on each bike on the same year and a half. I was going through a rear tire a month on my RR.

But I am that guy that will ride in rain, snow, hail, no matter what. I used to just love taking long rides alone, too.
