Instead of about the gas prices, we should all be investing in ExxonMobil, Shell, Chevron etc. so we can counter our loss at the pumps.

One of the ways the rich get richer.

It would be really interesting to see somebody post a true bussiness model instead of biased media propaganda about profits.

why would they, it's easier to bish about their 15mpg giant SUV's traveling at well above the speed limit, and complain about oil prices.

...I haven't researched ALOT about this whole Exxon-Mobil profits situation, but I will say that the argument:'The price of gasoline is high because demand is high' or 'Exxon-Mobil, although making record profits, is going to be reinvesting those funds into the company for improvements to the process of attaining the earths oil or towards research' is bOOlshyt. How is it that you can afford to both give your retiring CEO (who is already filthy rich btw) a retirement package worth over $350 million(US) AND apply any substantial amount of money towards either research OR setting up new digging locations OR anything else that would benefit the American public vis a vis these large oil companies ? Again I say, categorically...bOOlshyt.

I believe they are reinvesting 'some' funds in the company, but somewhere in the game they've figured out that they can turn a nice lil profit by playing the game the way they are playing it. While we're getting screwed, someone is getting over...

Some terms:
profˇit
n.-
1. An advantageous gain or return; benefit.
2. The return received on a business undertaking after all operating expenses have been met.

revˇeˇnue
n.-
1.The income of a government from all sources appropriated for the payment of the public expenses.
2.Yield from property or investment; income.
3. All the income produced by a particular source.
4. A governmental department set up to collect public funds.
